Neighborhood Kids

In Matthew 19, Jesus talks about the importance of children in the Kingdom of God. Children are important to God, and they are important to us. If you're a parent, this page will let you know more about the Children's Ministry at Neighborhood Church.

Neighborhood Kids

Neighborhood Kids (pictured right) is our elementary school ministry that takes place during our Worship Celebration. Our Elementary schoolers stay with us for the beginning of the Worship Celebration, and then are dismissed to Neighborhood Kids so they can learn about the Bible in a way that is easier for kids to understand.

Once they get there, they sing a few songs, play games, discover more through a Bible lesson, and break up into age-specific small groups where they continue to learn more.

Our elementary schoolers join us for communion at the end of the Worship Celebration on the first Sunday of each month. In addition, we have family services, from time-to-time, so our kids can stay with their parents and be together as a church family.

Neighborhood Tots (Infants-Preschool) is available each Sunday during the Worship Celebration. We ask that all parents who drop their child off sign in and sign out so we are able to find the parent should any need arise. Parents can drop their children off at 10:20. Each week the kids are read a Bible story and are able to enjoy age-appropriate toys. Neighborhood Tots is finished each week at the end of the Worship Celebration.

It's important to you, and it's important to us. We want to make sure that not only are your kids having fun and learning about God, but that they're safe. So we've developed a few procedures that we follow to make sure they're in a safe environment. For example, we run a comprehensive background check for all of our adult volunteers. And, we always are sure to have at least two adults present at any church-sponsored function.

There are numerous opportunities for parents and other volunteers to get involved with Children's Ministry at Neighborhood Church. Because of our commitment to our kids' safety, there are a few steps to getting involved. For more information E-mail Pastor Nick.
